Knight Online Glossary

A reference guide to the terms you will encounter on Knight Online private servers. Each entry briefly explains what a term means and how it affects your choice of server and the way you play on it. Terms are linked to one another, and from each article you can jump straight to matching servers.

Nations (El Morad and Karus)
In Knight Online every character belongs to one of two nations: El Morad (humans) or Karus (orcs, the "Tuareks"). The nations are balanced but differ in appearance and lore, and their endless war is the core of the game. Your nation choice determines which side you fight for in national wars and sieges; changing it later is difficult and costly, so it is worth thinking the decision through. Related: Classes, Ronark Land (Colony Zone), National Points
Classes
In Knight Online both nations share four common classes — Warrior (melee), Rogue (archery and damage), Mage and Priest (support and healing) — plus one faction-only class each: Portu for El Morad and Kurian for Karus. At certain levels classes gain advancements that strengthen their role. Class choice defines your combat style and place in PvP, making it a key decision when creating a character. Moradon (Neutral City)
Moradon is Knight Online's neutral trade city, where players of both nations are safe and cannot attack each other (except on arenas). Characters set out from here to level up and enter PvP zones. Moradon is a familiar starting point and marketplace, so activity there often reflects a server's overall population, and its role as a hub matters for a comfortable start on any project. Related: Ronark Land (Colony Zone), Nations (El Morad and Karus)
Ronark Land (Colony Zone)
Ronark Land (formerly known as Colony Zone) is Knight Online's main PvP zone, where both nations clash for battles and National Points. Bosses appear in the center (such as Atross and Riote), granting points on defeat. There is also a lighter version for lower levels called Ardream. Ronark Land activity directly shows whether mass PvP is alive on a server, which is why it is one of the first things players check. Related: National Points, PvP, Nations (El Morad and Karus)
Castle Siege
Castle Siege is Knight Online's mass PvP event, where clans fight for control over key national strongholds. Sieges are part of the larger El Morad versus Karus conflict and the pinnacle of organized PvP. Owning a castle grants prestige and clan advantages. Siege activity is a strong indicator of how alive organized PvP is on a server, which matters most to players who care about clan wars. Related: Clan (Guild), PvP, National Points
National Points
National Points are Knight Online's reward for killing enemy nation players in PvP zones and national wars; the losing side sheds part of its points. Points determine a character's rank and status and affect standing within the nation. After winning a national war, the victorious side can invade enemy territory. The points system is the driving force behind PvP, so its settings matter when choosing a server. Related: Ronark Land (Colony Zone), PvP, Nations (El Morad and Karus)
Clan (Guild)
A clan is a group of Knight Online players who team up for national wars, Castle Sieges and the fight for zone control. A strong, active clan is the backbone of organized PvP and the endgame. Clan life largely determines how alive a server stays in the long run, so the presence of active clans and rivalries between them is an important sign of a healthy project when choosing where to play. Related: Castle Siege, PvP
Upgrade (Enchanting)
Upgrade is the process of enhancing Knight Online items to raise their stats, usually with special stones. As the level rises, upgrading becomes riskier: a failed attempt can destroy the item. Private servers customize the caps, success chances and stone availability, and this noticeably affects the power of top players and the economy, so it is worth checking this mechanic when picking a project. USKO
USKO is the common name for the international version of Knight Online (Knight Online World, the US host). It serves as the benchmark for "official" balance and content that private servers often reference. Understanding which version a server resembles helps you gauge its mechanics and community expectations. The term appears often in project descriptions, so it is useful to know when comparing servers to one another. Related: MyKO, Knight Online Private Server
MyKO
MyKO refers to older versions and clients of Knight Online that private servers often base themselves on to recreate the early, classic balance of the game. Such projects are valued for a nostalgic, old-school experience predating many later systems. The MyKO label in a description helps you understand which era of the game a server is close to, so it matters to players who prefer classic Knight Online. Related: USKO, Classic Servers, Knight Online Private Server
Classic Servers
Classic servers are Knight Online private servers that recreate early versions of the game with familiar balance and fewer systems. They are chosen by players who prefer the old-school experience of the early years (often on MyKO clients) rather than later content. The Classic label in a description helps distinguish such servers from projects on modern versions with an expanded set of mechanics and advanced classes. Related: MyKO, USKO
PvP
PvP (player versus player) means combat between players rather than against monsters. In Knight Online, PvP is the heart of the game: national wars between El Morad and Karus, battles in Ronark Land, Castle Sieges and skirmishes for points. PvP-focused servers place their bet on mass battles. If you are drawn to nation and clan rivalry, PvP zone activity is exactly what to look at when choosing a server. Related: Ronark Land (Colony Zone), National Points, PvE
PvE
PvE (player versus environment) means playing against the world: monsters, bosses and dungeons rather than other players. In Knight Online, PvE is leveling and gearing up in preparation for national wars and sieges. Although the game is primarily about PvP, PvE remains the foundation of character progression, so leveling speed and zone variety matter when choosing a server that fits your playstyle. Related: PvP, Rates (x1, x50, x1000)
Rates (x1, x50, x1000)
Rates are multipliers for experience, drop and currency gain compared with the official game. A low-rate server keeps slow progression close to the original; a high-rate one fast-tracks players to PvP content and wars. Rates are one of the main factors players use to pick a server, which is why they are listed early in a description, alongside the version the project is close to. Related: Upgrade (Enchanting), Knight Online Private Server
International Server
An international Knight Online server is aimed at players from many countries: communication is usually in English, and the audience gathers from all over the world. Such projects often keep a more stable population thanks to their broad reach, which matters for mass PvP. If you are looking for a server with an international community and English-language support, the label helps distinguish it from local projects aimed at a single region. Related: Knight Online Private Server, USKO
Knight Online Private Server
A private server is a project launched by a team of enthusiasts outside the game's official infrastructure. Such servers set their own version (close to USKO or MyKO), rates, upgrade rules and PvP rules, so projects differ noticeably from one another. Knight Online private servers let you play on classic clients or on modern builds with accelerated leveling — and that is exactly what to look at when choosing.
